Floral Source & Origin
If you have ever visited Oregon in the summer, you will notice an abundance of wild berry brambles. Starting in late May and continuing into June, these berry bushes are covered with pink and white flowers. Any beehive located nearby will happily collect the nectar from these blossoms and turn it into blackberry honey. Our current supply of blackberry honey comes from Marion County, located about 30 miles south of Portland.
Flavor Profile
Blackberry honey is darker in color and is one of the few varieties where the flavor and the name match. It's a medium sweet honey with a distinct berry finish. It is fun to watch people taste this honey for the first time.
